Grounding and Bonding: Webinar

This is a 2-Day Webinar that is taking place over two days with 3-hour long sessions each day.

All participants must attend both days in order to receive the 0.6 CEUs for this class.

ICC P.P. Course No 12004

Date: Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19, 2020

Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Each Day

Cost: $65 (Member/Non-Member)

CEU: 6 hours (0.6 CEUs)

Program Overview: Proper grounding and bonding is the foundation of any safe electrical installation.  For those eager to improve their skills in electrical grounding and bonding, this is the seminar to attend.  How and why certain grounding and bonding methods are used will be explained in a logical way.  A detailed outline handout will be provided for all attendees which will reference NEC Sections with room to take notes.  We will use the 2017 edition of the IAEI Soares Grounding and Bonding presentation.  A companion 2017 Soares workbook with excellent illustrations and commentary is available on IAEI’s website (https://www.iaei.org), but it is not necessary to attend this webinar.

Instructor: Mike Stone

Mike Stone has been the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) West Coast Field Representative since August 2012.  He has represented NEMA as an alternate on Code Making Panel 1 for the 2017 & 2020 National Electrical Code and is the principal for the 2023 NEC.  He also served as Vice-Chair of the California Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and Energy Code Advisory Committee for the CA Building Standards Commission during the 2016 and 2019 California code cycles.   Before his tenure with NEMA, Mike worked for over 25 years in California building departments at the County of Monterey and the Cities of Monterey, Salinas, and, most recently, as Building Official for the City of Watsonville.  He holds seven ICC certifications, including CBO, and is a member of ICC, IAEI, NFPA, and IBEW.
